Fabulous grain painted door from the mid-19th century. Painted to resemble tiger oak with its quarter sawn beauty. Painted on both sides however one side on the bottom third of the door has worn off. Rest of the grain paint is fine with normal chips and scuffs but no flaking paint.

To Chicago-based artist Patrick Fitzgerald, his miniature car sculptures are a means of traveling through time. Born from a fascination with the soap box derby cars of his youth, each vehicle is an exercise in imagining the future through the lens of the past – or vice versa.
