About the Artist
Artist Terri Bell constructs highly detailed geometric fields that dance to life with engaging colors and soft edges. As a young child, Terri always wanted to paint, draw, or play imaginative games. She entered college as an art major and received important mentorship from several teachers. Unfortunately, it was at this point that Terri’s art career was put on hold. "I had to make a couple of detours along the way, and ended up changing my major to political science," she says, "which led me to work in a high stress, high profile state government position." Terri’s creative pursuits were more limited but ever-present. "Art was the balance in my life and I never gave up my dream." Through hard work and determination, she has returned to her calling as a full-time career artist. When she’s not painting, Terri enjoys cooking, container gardening, and spending time with her husband and two Yorkies.

About the Artist
Tiffany Blaise draws on the natural grandeur of British Columbia to develop her dreamy, expressionist seascapes. Before venturing into her studio in East Vancouver, she spends time walking the beach, taking photos and simply sitting and observing the light around her. Tiffany explains that even with a photo, her goal is to capture the mood, feeling and gesture of the scene. She begins painting by creating a study of her reference photograph to map out the key visual elements and establish the color palette. Color matching is one of her favorite aspects of painting, and she finds that it is highly influenced by her mood and the season. As a young developing artist, Tiffany devotes time to experimenting with different mediums, researching new techniques and studying the work of other artists. “I'm putting in my 10,000 hours!” she says. “A defining moment for me was realizing my love for painting the wilderness while I was at an artist residency in a national park near Sydney [Australia]. Her parents bought her a set of oil paints when she was ten years old and it sparked her love of art.
