About Alana Marie Interiors
Alana Marie discovered her love for Architecture and Interior Design when roaming the streets of Barcelona, then finding her way into Sangrada Familia. She knew after that experience, she wanted to create spaces where people would feel something. Weather it be feeling at home, a sense of awe, joy, inspiration, relaxed, or whatever else... just feel something! After returning to the states, she studied Architecture for 2 years, then switched her major to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of California, Los Angeles.
Alana then started working with the world renowned Kelly Wearstler as a designer on her team. She designed and opened multiple hospitality projects with Kelly including Hollywood Proper Residence, Filifera, and Austin Proper (all hotel rooms, public spaces, and Food and Beverage outlets). Alana also worked on residential projects with Kelly both in LA and Austin Texas.
After 4+ years with Kelly, Alana moved on to become a Senior Designer with well known and admired East Coast designer Kara Mann. Alana opened an LA office for Kara, and spearheaded the development of a new Rosewood Hotel in Houston Texas. She is currently working part time with Kara Mann, as a Senior Hospitality Designer.
Alana Marie also works on independent residential projects. With her strong hospitality background, but love for residential, Alana has a unique take on designing interior spaces. Her aesthetic is not specific to a style or era (because why limit yourself), rather a marriage of designs that fit together to compliment one another and inspire.
