Oil on canvas.
Framed in a grey-white painted wooden frame – Width 1.5 cm, Depth 4.5 cm.
Gulls in flight over sea. A painting featuring Blues whites and greys.
“Flock is inspired by seeing a flock of wagtails on a country road on an early November day when the colours of the landscape and sky are very muted and attempting to translate the rapid ‘flitting’ nature of certain small birds’ wings in the air. Hence the use of a graphite ‘scribble’ as an abstracted method to describe this motion and the use of graphite in the hedgerows to describe the atmosphere of one moment in time.”
