About the Item
"Grit" was conceived for all the strong women throughout my life as an expression of their determination and strength. It depicts a woman walking away with an upright body with unusually large (almost muscular) arms with either an oversized fist or carrying something heavy or burdensome as a metaphor for the trials or tribulations they endure. The "X" has several symbolic meanings but for me often denotes the "mystery" of life.
