Onigele Yii

About the Item

The painting "Onigele Yii" depicts a striking black African woman wearing a vibrant Ankara head tie, known as gele, in the Yoruba language. Rendered with oil on canvas, the artwork captures the intricate patterns and bold colors of the fabric, highlighting the beauty and cultural significance of the head tie. The woman's gaze is serene yet commanding, radiating a sense of inner strength and confidence. The painting also showcases the artist's skill in capturing the subtle nuances of the woman's features, including the curve of her lips and the texture of her skin. Through the use of oil paint, the artist has created a sense of depth and dimensionality, making the woman's head tie appear almost tactile. The painting is a tribute to the beauty and resilience of black women, as well as a celebration of African culture and heritage. It reminds us of the importance of embracing our cultural identities and celebrating the unique beauty of each individual. Shipping Procedure: Ships in a well-protected tube from Nigeria.
