Anthony Friedkin was born in 1949 in Los Angeles, USA. Friedkin currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Friedkin uses his camera as a means of personal discovery. His full frame black & white photographs explore the many mysteries of moments in time. He creates his distinctive exhibition prints in his darkroom. Informed by the works of Atget, Kertesz, and Josef Koudelka, he moves gracefully among disparate worlds – from surrealistic sets of Hollywood to the shores of the tempestuous Pacific Ocean. Friedkin has had countless exhibitions over the years, such as at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Laguna Art Museum, CA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, San Francisco Museum of Art, San Francisco, or Museum Folkwang, Essen. He received the National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship Grant, as well as the Eastman Kodak Company-Special Endorsement Grant, and his works can be found in collections such the J.Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, Museum of Modern Art, New York, Museum of Photographic Arts, San Diego, or the George Eastman Collection, Rhode Island, to name a few. A camera is a window through which a photographer interacts with the world, and it's up to the operator to decide whether his camera will be a barrier or a mirror between he and his subjects. In the 1970s, Michael Abramson chose the latter path when he brought his camera to Pepper's Hideout on Chicago's South Side. Following in the footsteps of his acknowledged influence Gyula Halász, a Hungarian photographer better known as Brassaï who became the pre-eminent chronicler of the Paris nightlife he loved so much, Abramson initiated himself into the nightlife of Chicago's predominantly black neighbourhoods. He was very much a part of the scene he documented on film, drinking, laughing, and dancing with his subjects into small hours and becoming as much a part of the atmosphere as the locals who frequented the same nightspots he did. - Joe Tangari (Numero Group, 2009)

Vladimir Clavijo-Telepnev was born in 1962 in Moscow, in the family of creative people. His father, Pedro Clavijo, was a Columbian journalist and a radio reporter. His grandfather by his father's side, Edmundo Clavijo Cubilios, was a famous Columbia's photograph and artist. His grandfather and grandmother by his mother's side, Vladimir and Margarita Telepnevs, were painters.
In 1986 Vladimir graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Academy, faculty of graphic art, specializing in painting, graphics, and polygraphic design.
