Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Openwork Wall Hanging Giltwood Carvings

About the Item

Antique pair of Chinese 18th century Qing dynasty openwork wood carving Gilded screen work wall hanging architectural elements. This pair of Chinese panels is intricately hand carved. The elaborate carving is a fine example of Asian wood carving art. Birds and branches are elevated and mounted on a base board. The wood has been coated in red paint to build the base for the gilding. Quality artistic standards are exemplified in this pair of early and excellent Chinese carvings. The condition is good. There are some minor losses in the branches. Beautiful patina. Measurements: 18 ½” W x 8 ¾” H x 3 ¼” D - each Weight: 2 lbs 6 oz - each.
