Hand Crafted Enamel Copper Rimmed Glass Bowl Signed Max 1991
About the Item
An unusual and stylish hand-crafted enamelled copper rimmed glass bowl signed Max and dated 27th March 1991. The bowl is blown in a thick rock crystal style glass with an uneven surface, polished base and inner bowl. It is full of small inclusions and air bubbles. The bowl is mounted with a wide flat copper rim cut centrally to fit on the bowl and has probably been acid dipped to give an enamelled effect with exaggerated Verdigris coloring with elements of gold. The surface is slightly textured and has a wonderful and interesting pattern, The bowl is signed MAX to the base and is dated 27-3-91.
Provenance: from the collection of a private gentleman and originating from the UK art market.
