About the Item

Hand blown Macette Murano glass ashtray, red, white and clear glass, Italy, 1950s. This eye-catching triangular bowl is made with red glass submerged into clear glass. It has accents in white and the outer surface is finished using the 'macette' technique. The Macette Murano glass technique consists in the application of particles, drops or small pieces of glass in different colors or in clear glass covering the surface of the piece. These small pieces of glass give this vase a textured appearance similar to crushed ice. One sterling silver cigarrette holder. Lovely to be used as ashtray, videpoche, rings bowl or displayed as decorative bowl as a part of a Murano glass collection. Perfect as a gift idea. Measures: 19 cm W x 17,5 cm D x 8,5 cm H ( 7,48 in W x 6,88 in D x 3,34 in H ) The Murano glass items shown at the images are avaliable at our 1stdibs marketplace.
