About the Item
Victorian Pocket Watch, barometer and thermometer compendium set.
Housed in the original brown leather presentation case with hinged lid and blue velvet interior.
Inside the case rests a brass cased pocket watch surmounted by a crown winder with enamel dial, Roman numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands. Subsidiary dial for seconds and signed ‘Waltham USA’.
Brass cased pocket barometer with enamel dial reading from 18 – 31 inches of mercury with original ‘blued’ steel pointer and signed ‘J.J.Wainwright & Co, Birmingham, Compensated’.
Centrally mounted bone thermometer registering both Centigrade and Fahrenheit. C.1890.
