Mottled Deep Blue Hand Built Ceramic Totem, Wide Oval on Curved Foot

About the Item

Mottled deep blue with light and dark areas, this amazing matte glaze surface was the result of a mistake in glaze chemistry and boy am I glad! It reminds me of Yves Klein Blue, a deep and intense blue that I can never get enough of. Hopefully I can repeat it and you will see more of this color. But this is the first. A small hand formed ceramic Oval Totem sitting on a curved foot. Simple but carrying much weight and expression. Part of an ongoing study of the Totemic form. Hand Built with sculptural stoneware clay, fired twice. Signed with Artist's Signature Chop underneath.
