Gerhard Henning, was a Danish-Swedish sculptor. His name was Nilsson before he took the name Henning. The art historian Peter Hertz mentions the name change in his book "Gerhard Henning" from 1931. In it, Henning's Sketches of Women and his graphics are also mentioned.
Henning received the Thorvaldsen Medal in 1937.
