Large Antique Gouda Anhem Art Pottery Lidded Vase or Urn with Figural Handle

About the Item

This large art pottery lidded vase or urn was made by Gouda of Holland in approximately 1920 in a period Art Deco style. The lidded vase is done with an octagonal rim and base with ribbed sides. The body of the vase is done with a black matte glaze with hand-painted panels in pastel tones with a geometric design with accenting hand-painted panels on the domed top. The handle is done in a dark brown with a figural stylized dog. The vase is clearly signed on the base for Gouda Anhem, Holland.
