Beautiful Arts & Crafts eyecatcher. This one of a kind, hand-crafted vase from the 'Dordtsche Kunst Pottery' is a wonderful sight to see. Vases from DKP are very rare, because the studio only existed from 1903-1908 and in the two World Wars that followed not many of these works of art survived. The stylized amphora shape decorated with organic & symmetric patterns in wonderful colors is what makes this top quality piece very appealing. The family of the former owner told us that this antique, at some point in time, had been restored which is why it has absolutely no chips, cracks or other damages. From up close, the trained eye will see irregularities to the surface, but on display most people will never notice. We fell for the amazing shape, patterns and coloring and the fact that it was made by DKP (which makes it very rare) was a welcome bonus.
