Antique Martin Brothers Art Pottery Vase with Asian Inspired Decoration

About the Item

This antique hand-crafted art pottery vase was done by the renowned Martin Brothers factory of England, in approximately 1890 in the period Aesthetic Movement style. The vase is done with a glazed stoneware, and has an Asian inspired motif with blue stylized carnations at the top and four panels running down the sides. The base is decorated with impressed triangles. The vase is clearly signed on the bottom with the Martin Brothers signature.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. One small pin hole imperfection likely when fired, which resulted in the glaze pop presented in the photos. Some light wear to the base consistent with age and use.
