Art Nouveau Hand Painted Ceramic Wedgewood Marsden Vase with Floral Patterns
About the Item
This elegant Art Nouveau vase was realized in the England by the storied maker Wedgwood circa 1890. It features Art Nouveau stylized foliate patterns in caramel and crimson with an indigo hued flower in the center. The ceramic vase tapers slightly at the espresso colored neck and shoulders (with scallop detailing) before expanding outwards again into its circular mouth. With its beautiful craftsmanship and sophisticated palate, this piece appears as modern today as when it was created more than 100 years ago. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. They are stamped "Wedgwood" on the bottom. Excellent vintage condition.
