Mid-Century Modern Atomic Age Pattern Rocks Glasses, Set of 4

About the Item

Mid-Century Modern rocks glasses in an Atomic pattern, circa mid 1950 - early 1960s. A fabulous, fun set of four Mad Men Era Atomic rocks glasses, frosted on the interior in an opaque white. The pattern shows a variety of Atomic related shapes in black and gold. The pattern wraps around the glass without repeating. Heavy bottomed with tapered sides. Spanning the late 1940s through about 1963, Atomic Age design is characterized by references to nuclear science and the atomic bomb. Concerns about nuclear war dominated Western society during the Cold War. 3 inches H with a top opening of 2.75 inches. Excellent vintage condition.
