Large Art Deco Rosenthal Porcelain Figurine The Korean Dancer H566
About the Item
This large porcelain figurine was manufactured by the Rosenthal Porcelain Factory and is entitled 'Korean Dancer' and made in circa 1927 in the period Art Deco style. This figurine was designed by the Austrian sculptor Constantin Holzer-Decanti who worked for the factory until 1927 and was inspired by the well known dancer, Anita Berber. This is a large figurine done in extremely vivid blues and reds with extensive hand painted decoration and highly detailed. The figurine is clearly stamped "Rosenthal' in dark green with an impressed mark of the model "H566". This figurine was purchased as professionally restored and shows no indication of repairs or damage, and we are unaware of how extensive the restoration was.
