Six Rococo Sèvres Style Porcelain Plates
About the Item
Each porcelain plate in this set of six features a navy-blue ground, distinctive to works produced in the style of Sèvres, and gilded rims with ornate patterns inscribed. The centre of each plate is painted with a portrayal of hunting, the manner belonging to the period of Louis XV. The painted scenes on each plate are signed ‘WOUVEMANS’, while the back of each plate is marked with the Sèvres insignia.
