About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George VI English sterling silver five piece condiment set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique George VI five piece condiment set in sterling silver consists of two salts, two pepper pots and one mustard pot. The pieces of this fine silver condiment set have a plain rounded cauldron shaped form onto three hoof style feet. The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished, with an applied moulded border to the rim. The mustard pot is fitted with a plain C scroll handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece and a hinged hallmarked plain domed cover. The pepper pots are fitted with push fit covers with pierced 'pepper' holes. The covers to each of the pepper pots and mustard pot are surmounted with a sterling silver urn style finial. Each salt and mustard pot is fitted with the original removable blue glass liner. This antique condiment set is presented with associated hallmarked English sterling silver spoons. This antique silver condiment set with spoons is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and secures with dual push fit catches. Condition The pieces of this antique silver condiment set with spoons are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and exceptional condition. Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each pepper and underside of the salts and mustard pot and the reverse of each spoon, in addition to part hallmarks to each cover are all very clear.
