20th century North West Coast American Indian signed Tribal Crying Mask George Hunt Jr. Kwakiutl, British Columbia Cedar, horse hair, leather, paint A striking, graphic mask with the distinct North West Coast styling of clean lines and bold use of minimal colors, creating a compelling, Classic image . Signed by the artist, George Hunt Junior, a member of the well-known Hunt family of carvers and artists. Next to the signature is a circled number “77”. It is unknown if this is a date or if this is piece number 77.
