Hollywood Regency Feather Ray Metal Sunburst Mirror
About the Item
A large Hollywood Regency Period metal wall mirror, France, circa 1920s – 1930s.
Made of gilded metal, the convex mirror is set in a looped bezel with an antiqued gold finish. The gilded and pointed sun rays are molded in a feather form, extending out from the bezel framing the mirror. The feather form rays alternate and vary in length. Each ray is attached to the framed mirror by hand. A convex mirror is set into a double bezel, the outermost with the attached looped bezeled ring.
The original backing, and the original hanging ring.
Entirely hand made.
21.5 in. Diameter x 1.5 in. H
The expected light wear and minor bending. In very good antique condition showing a warm patina.
