The Life and Works of Alfred Lord Tennyson in Twelve Volumes, Limited Edition. London: MacMillian and Co., Limited, 1898. Moroccan leather and paper bound gilt hardcovers with gilt top edges. A set of 12 antique leather bound books of the works of Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) with a biography. This edition was planned and published by the author, his son, and the publishers six years before the author's death. The first volume contains a complete chronology his writings and an introduction memoir by his son. His famous works include "The Lover's Tale," "Idylls of the Kings," "The War," and many others.
