About the Item

An elegant, very finely-woven Central Anatolian rug from the town of Kayseri made of art-silk that catches and reflects light with its beautiful, glowing, organic cotton-based material in a soft and soothing color palette of light tawny brown, sage green, beige and very light, grayish blue. The peacefulness of colors are delightfully contrasted with the hunting scenes depicted in the field around the central medallion where we can see various carnivorous animals such as lions, and tigers stalking or pouncing on their innocent prey including deer and rabbits. The hunting theme is set against an expansive field and elegant border of flowing curvilinear vines and rosettes, reminiscent of an imperial setting. A gorgeous rug with a touch of old-time splendor and a lovely, versatile color story that will bring and invite lots of light in your interiors. The rug is in very good condition with no issues.
