Early Eames DAX Shell Chair

About the Item

Early Eames DAX fiberglass with iron X base. Beautiful fibrous texture possibly in Greige/Tan Light (?). Due to the fading and the light color it is a little hard to ascertain the original color designation. Large shock mounts, iron X base. No rope edge. Circa 1952-53. Second generation armchair. Structurally sound and sturdy with no visible cracks or restorations. Some fade due to wear, light and use. Light staining. No visible bleed through of shock mounts or adhesive. Approximately 22” deep x 25” wide x 31” high. Seat height is approximately 18”.
