Gianni Pareschi Red Fiocco Armchair for Busnelli

About the Item

Beautiful armchair Fiocco produced by Busnelli, born in 1970 from the design by Gianni Pareschi. It brings in the living room the same note of vivacity and brio of a colored ribbon curled on the paper that wraps the precious gift for someone dear to us. Two metal profiles run parallel describing in space wide and sinuous lines. Between them is placed an elastic fabric of a bright red color that forms the comfortable seat. This armchair by Gianni Pareschi is able to fill the domestic space with its intense and full colors, while being extraordinarily thin and crossed by the gaze: when observed from the side, it shows only its very thin outline, leaving glimpses of other objects that populate the house. This armchair by Gianni Pareschi allows to furnish with freshness environments conceived according to an informal style or, on the contrary, to lighten aesthetically spaces completed with more austere and rigorous furniture in colors and shapes. The structure is made of tubular metal and is covered with a sheath of polyurethane foam, is calibrated to hold in tension the elatex cover on which to lie down and be pampered. The armchair by Gianni Pareschi is very practical, because it is easily removable. A perfect mix of essentiality, originality and technology. The armchair Fiocco by Gianni Pareschi has a bright red color and is ideal in eccentric environments.

  • Libro Armchair by Gianni Pareschi and Umberto Orsoni for Gruppo Dam, 1970
By Gruppo DAM (Designer Associati Milano), Gianni Pareschi 1
    Located in Misinto, IT
Libro armchair designed by Gianni Pareschi and Umberto Orsoni for Gruppo Dam and produced by Gruppo Industriale Busnelli in 1970. A unique piece aimed at collectors and enthusiasts of items from the 1970s that revisit the Italian radical design movement of the post-war period, characterized by a clear desire to redefine industrial design in a subversive lifestyle. A sculptural armchair that makes its originality a unique piece as beautiful as it is functional, as the seat unfolds, and each page corresponds to a sitting position. A hinged central frame provides support for the seat pages attached to the frame's articulation. The covering is made of glossy white and fuchsia technical fabric coated with polyurethane resins. It has a white jute floor strap and a small plate with the famous silver B of Gruppo Industriale Busnelli. The Poltrona Libro is to be considered a true cultural icon of radical design; only a very limited number were produced as it was particularly "bold" for its time of creation. The Libro armchair is so artistic that it is displayed in some of the world's most important museums, such as the MoMA in New York.
