This is a pair of walnut veneered plywood chairs made by the Cherner Chair Company in the United States. A classic modern design, featuring the 'wasp waist' silhouette.
Norman Cherner is considered a hero of modern design. He studied and lectured at Columbia University of Fine Arts and was an instructor at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in the late 1940s.
Dimensions: seat height is 45cm and armrest height is 65cm.
