Mattiwatta Modern Solid Brass Upholstered Luxury Lounge Chair by Egg Designs
About the Item
The Mattiwatta bespoke, lounge chair is designed by Egg Designs and manufactured in South Africa.
This luxury lounge chair has a frame of solid sand cast brass, the method of sand casting creates a beautiful pitted surface. Each chair is single cast therefor each chair is unique, the brass frames are then hand polished, a task that takes in excess of 100 hours. The rich gold frames have been paired with a golden abstract fabric with a softened zig zag design. The frame and upholstered body are held together with bespoke knurled solid brass polished buttons.
The Mattiwatta lounge chair with its snaking arms and frame is both modern and classical at the same time. A handmade, bespoke and crafted armchair.
