- Condition:Refinished. Replacements made: New bronze hinges were made to order from a specialist in Paris and fitted. The faux tortoiseshell inserts on the handles were replaced with highest quality Casein from a specialist and precisely cnc cut for placement. Repaired: Repairs were made to damaged veneers and the overall finish was revitalised with an academic Van Dijk ebonised process including an additional layer of heated hard wax for the liming process. Wear consistent with age and use. Now is absolutely ideal antique condition.
