About the Item
Dragonfly cocktail/coffee table is an award-winning design by artist and architectural designer Michael Olshefski of Primal Modern. Inspired by the graceful tapered stance of a dragonfly at rest, this exquisite Wabi-Sabi minimalist modern table showcases beautifully figured Black Walnut with dramatic voids, reflective of dragonfly wings. The delicate leather spine represents the body of the majestic creature. The legs, shaped to represent a resting dragonfly, are inspired by Japanese origami - cut and folded from a single piece of plate steel and trimmed in leather. The elevated table top design with .5" ultra-clear museum glass is inspired by the concept of a museum case which displays and protects the precious object below. This handsome showcase piece is unlike any other.
