About the Item
A fine, antique brass easel with Pietra Dura panels and three handpainted portrait miniature paintings, circa 1880.
The brass easel of triangular form and finely pierced and engraved, having three oval hinged doors with beautiful hardstone Pietra Dura floral inlay. Each door encloses a different miniature portrait, including one of George Washington and below two portraits of beautiful young women of regal personage, in 18th century dress.
Provenance; From a prominent California collection
Very good condition indeed.
