The painting (similar to the work of Gene Davis and other Washington Color School artists), was proudly displayed in the living room of a Classic Mid-Century Modern house designed by a student of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. His entry at the International symposium of Arts held in Washington, D.C. in 1969 won him the first award for sculpture.
