Rare and sizeable Art Deco religious plaque.
Stunning sculpture / plaque by one of the greats when it comes to religious art. This sizeable, heavy and detailed plaque depicts Jesus Christ tied to a cross in a moment of terrible suffering. When looking at Christ suffering like this I always think of the following words that I once read: 'de waarheid heeft weinig vrienden' or, in English, 'the truth has but a few friends'. This rare piece has a great patina and it is in very good condition.
