Two Impressive and Huge Midcentury World Map Wall Globes, Austria, 1950s

About the Item

We proudly offer this outstanding pair of very large wall-mounted modernist globes / world maps with an incredible diameter of 95 inches each. Unique one-of-a-kind sculptures depicting the continents of the earth, custom-made in the 1950s for the luxurious marble lobby of a mid-century building in Vienna which served as the headquarters of an international organization. The globes were crafted of blue and gold anodized aluminum parts on a round metal frame. There are small illuminated LED´s in some destinations scattered all over the world map. Both globes are in excellent condition. The globes will be sold separately and are priced per piece. Please contact us anytime for additional images or more information.
