A stunning, fine and impressive pair of vintage 15.51 carat Colombian emerald and 1.12 carat diamond, platinum drop earrings; part of our diverse emerald jewellery collections These stunning vintage emerald earrings have been crafted in platinum. Each earring has a feature claw set pear cut emerald to the terminal. The emeralds suspend from a pair of articulated four-claw set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond to the apex of the design. These vintage earrings for pierced ears secure to the reverse with a post and butterfly style fastening; the butterflies bear the platinum hallmark (PLAT). These 1950's earrings have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum. These impressive Colombian emerald earrings are supplied with four independent diamond grading report certificates, in addition to an emerald report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*. Such large natural Colombian emeralds, with minor clarity enhancement, are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. NOTE: * This documentation accredits the emerald originating in Colombia and certifies that the gemstone shows minor clarity enhancement. "Rather than regarding inclusions in colored stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics." Condition These stunning vintage drop earrings are excellent quality, set with stunning emeralds displaying a fine colou, brilliance and presence. The very well color matched and very high color graded diamonds display a fine white color and brilliance. The Colombian emerald earrings are an excellent gauge of platinum and are in excellent condition. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of emerald jewellery/estate jewelry.
