Art Deco 0.48 Carat Emerald and 1.12 Carat Diamond Platinum Cocktail Ring

About the Item

A stunning antique 0.48 carat emerald and 1.12 carat diamond, platinum Art Deco cocktail ring; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections This stunning, fine and impressive antique Art Deco emerald and diamond dress ring has been crafted in platinum. The pierced decorated, rectangular geometric design setting is ornamented with two horizontal arrays of two emerald cut emeralds, totalling 0.48ct, each emanating from the side of the setting. The emerald arrangements are enveloped with a geometric arrangement of sixteen impressive transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds. The pierced decorated and elevated ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the plain ring shank, via a groove design. The ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the platinum mark (PLAT). The ring is supplied with an independent diamond and gemstone grading report card. Such unusual and stunning Art Deco designs are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. 'Rather than regarding inclusions in colored stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics.' Reference: The Connoisseur's Guide to Precious Gemstones, R. Wise, Brunswick House Press. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual color and showcases each stone. Condition This stunning antique ring is excellent quality, set with impressive emeralds displaying fine color, brilliance and presence. The very high color graded diamonds display a fine white color and brilliance. The ring is an excellent gauge of platinum and is in excellent condition, with a clear hallmark to the interior of the shank. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique jewellery/estate jewelry.
