The Afghan coat made its appearance on the London fashion scene in the mid 1960s. The Beatles popularized the style on the cover of their "Magical Mystery Tour" LP in 1967. They will forever be a part of fashion history as an iconic look from the hippy and music scene of the 1960s and 70s. This coat is a wonderful find, an original from that period.
