About the Item
Bergdorf Goodman demi couture, trapeze shape black silk satin evening coat from the 1950s. This gorgeous coat is perfect for any special occasion, I would consider it mid weight for Autumn or early Winter. The coat is interlined so there will be a bit of warmth. A dramatic coat that is narrow through the shoulder back and falls to a full 2 1/2 yards at the hem. The 3/4 length raglan sleeves are full through the upper arm, they are darted at about the elbow (side back) and taper to the upper wrist. There is a wing style collar, the coat is open at the front. The lining is set by hand, the coat is beautifully made. Fits like a size small/small medium.
In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
