Victorian Brown Mohair and Mongolian Lamb Jet-Beaded Mantle - One Size, 1890s
About the Item
With enough body to stand on its own, this mantle flares so much when worn that none of the embroidered jet detail is obscured. Though the mohair is actually chocolate brown, it's plush enough to look black at certain angles. Exquisite quality unavailable in today's clothing.
Chocolate brown mohair half-cape with Peter Pan collar, allover floral passementerie and jet bead detail; 2 ½” Mongolian lamb trim at collar and front opening edges. Three heavy-duty hook and eye closures from throat to waist and open (15”) to hem; no armholes. Single interior mohair flap pocket; fully lined in black polished cotton.
