1920's Colorful Bird-Garden Novelty Embroidered Cotton Bohemian Ethnic Dress

About

Colorful scenic cotton dresses from the early 20th century are perennial favorites. The garment's silhouette is so strikingly modern while the fine embroidery is a treasure trove of antique needle art. The embroidery work is actually raised and dimensional! A labor intensive, hand-stitched piece like this would have been very high quality at the time. I adore the low-cut plunge which at one point probably had an inner lining. The beautiful skirting has weighted side-panels. This bohemian beauty gives you the charming allure of an antique in a garment sturdy enough to wear all year long. Measurements Bust:38-39 inches Waist:32 inches Hips:42 inches Sleeve Length:23 inches Total Length:44 inches This antique 1920's cotton-linen dress is in excellent wearable condition with no stains or loose embroidery. The garment closes with back metal-snaps. Minor wear to the back decorative buttons and a few pin holes- but nothing that truly detracts from this gorgeous masterpiece.
