Signed Colin Glascoe Blue Abstract Stained Glass Midi Halter Dress - M, 1970s

About the Item

Signed six times, this halter dress is the creation of London designer Colin Glascoe, whose psychedelic prints held their own with Pucci, Liberty of London and Bessi. Unlike his contemporaries’ pieces, however, this statuesque dress is machine washable, packable and wrinkle-free despite looking like silk jersey. Halter neck midi column dress with straight 1 ¾” banded bustline and mitered rear neck; rear nylon zip closure with top hook and eye. Unlined. fabric: matte nylon/spandex noteworthy: hand washable in cool water alterations: none condition: very good with light surface wear consistent with age and fabric measurements: neck: 1 ¼” x 24” halter strap (with ample room to shorten at bodice joins if necessary) bust: 36” unstretched waist: 42” unstretched hips: 48” unstreteched length: approx. 53” from shoulder sweep: 60” label: no label present, but signed six times with designer’s name size: no size tag present; comparable to modern size medium
