About the Item

1970's Lillie Rubin Collection 700 maxi dress with an orange sherbet color jersey bodice and a gauzy cotton blend fabric skirt with an Art Deco revival print displaying shades of orange, green, purple, yellow, red and aqua blue. The dress zips and hooks at the back with a polyester lining in the skirt and hidden side pockets. The long sleeved bodice has a sexy scoop neckline and fitted silhouette. The full printed skirt is a period perfect look with a Riviera style beachfront scene including flapper ladies with parasols, sailboats, children at play and well dressed seaside gazers. The look is finished with a cummerbund belt that hooks at the back and ties at the front. A wonderful dress for a trip to the Riviera ... in body or spirit. CONDITION Good condition with some scattered fading to the printed fabric at the back of the dress near the hemline as shown in photographs 13, 14 and 15. There is also a dark spot as shown in photograph 15. The Lillie Rubin label has a pen mark reading 'ok' as shown in photograph 12. The original lining was flawed and has been professionally replaced with a like fabric. Overall the dress makes a great impression and the fading at the back hemline will probably go unnoticed. Professionally cleaned and ready for wear. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The size is not marked though the dress best fits U.S. sizes 4 - 6 with attention to the following measurements taken without stretching the jersey though there is stretch to accommodate curves. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4. Bust 32" Waist 25.5" Hips (Measurement Taken at Lining) 37" Sleeve Length From Underarm to Cuff 16.25" Shoulder Length Taken Across Back From Sleeve Seam to Seam 15" Length From Shoulder to Hem 55.5" Length From Shoulder to Waist 15" The cummerbund section of the belt measures 27.75" from end to end with the hooks at the 26.5" length x 3" wide. The ties fall 41" down on each side and are 1.25" wide.
