Vintage 1967 Nina Ricci Haute Couture Documented Ruby Red Wool Mod Jumpsuit

About the Item

Stunning and very rare documented Nina Ricci haute couture jumpsuit dating back to her 1967 Fall-Winter collection. The French fashion house, known for its feminine, ladylike clothing, has long been the go-to for Parisian chic. To achieve Nina Ricci figure-flattering cuts, the seasoned dressmaker draped on a live mannequin, pinning and snipping with a couturier's care. This breathtaking tailored jumpsuit dress is a perfect example of this brand's genius. The bodice has lean 3/4-length sleeves with a gorgeous mock turtleneck and hourglass nipped waist. I adore the hidden side pockets and sculpted middle front pleat skirting. Such a unique yet timeless design. Measurements Bust:33-34 inches Waist:25 inches Hips:up to 40 inches Total Length:57 inches This Nina Ricci haute couture designer jumpsuit is in excellent condition with no serious rips, stains or holes. Perfectly working handset metal-zipper in back and by pant legs. Hidden hook/eye closures for silk bodice lining. This gorgeous garment that is all hand-finished and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.

  • Vintage 1967 Courreges Couture Yellow White Checkered Wool Belted Jacket & Skirt
    By André Courrèges
    Located in Beverly Hills, CA
A totally iconic and absolutely stunning Andre Courreges Paris ensemble dating back to his 1967 couture collection. Andre Courreges launched his Space-Age look in 1964. The shapes of his clothes were geometric: squares, trapezoids, triangles. The main features of his ultra-modern, uncluttered look spread quickly throughout the fashion world, especially the miniskirt, which he introduced to France. This archival yellow and ivory-white checkered wool two-piece is a fantastic example of his vision. The fitted jacket has a flirty low-cut plunge and bold waist belt. My favorite part is the over-sized breast pockets which is a signature Courreges touch. The high waisted a-line mod skirt is a statement piece in it's own right; definitely flattering the figure. "The woman who interests me doesn't belong to any particular physical type. She lives a certain life, however. She is active, moves fast, works, is usually young and modern enough to wear modern, intelligent clothes." Andre Courreges Measurements Jacket Bust: 36-37 inches Waist: up to 31 inches (belt used to make as small as desired) Sleeve Length: 21.5 inches Total Length: 22 inches Skirt Waist: 29 inches Hips: 40 inches Total Length: 23 inches This epic first-edition Courreges numbered couture checkered skirt...

  • Vintage 1970s Sant' Angelo Burgundy Draped Chiffon Bodysuit & Fringed Maxi Skirt
    By Giorgio di Sant' Angelo
    Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Incredibly stunning and highly desirable Giorgio Sant' Angelo designer bodysuit ensemble dating back to the late 1970's. He first hit the fashion scene when Diana Vreeland asked him to design clothing for a desert location shoot that starred Verushka in 1968. This shoot is legendary and his clothing was instantly sought out by all the most fashionable women on the planet. Sant' Angelo was the winner of two Coty Awards and two Council of Fashion Designers of America honors. He has had an entire museum exhibit dedicated to his work and will go down in history as one of the great American designers. This seductive two-piece set is a perfect example of his genius. I love the low-cut plunging draped bodysuit as a wardrobe staple. Would also look fantastic with trousers or jeans! The interior is a stretch jersey in a matching burgundy hue so when you put it on, the bodysuit molds to your bod in the most comfortable way. The sleeves are cut long and the draped backless bodice flows into the sash which wraps around the waist. Such a smart design! The matching high-waist embroidered fringe maxi skirt finishes the look off effortlessly. Sant' Angelo once said, "I am not a fashion designer but an artist who works in fashion engineer of form." We added many pictures so you can appreciate this masterful achievement. Measurements Bodysuit (varies due to stretch) Bust: 34-38 inches Waist: 26-30 inches Sleeve Length: 24 inches Skirt Waist: 28 inches Hips: up to 42 inches Total Length: 44 inches This vintage Giorgio di Sant...
