1920's Art-Deco Embroidered Beaded Silk-Chiffon Flapper Dress
Breathtaking 1920's museum quality silk-chiffon evening dance dress. The ethereal black & blue color palette touches a deep chord in our collective aesthetic consciousness. As fashion lovers, we never tire from antique beadwork & embroidery; they will always be fresh to modern eyes. Glossy jet-black beads are mixed with brilliant blue geometric patterns. It is in utterly pristine condition; something that is becoming more and more of a rarity as time goes by. All that work is even more amazing when you realize the art-deco swirl pattern is done by hand. The matching silk-taffeta, drop-waist sash adds another degree of charm. Making a bold and dramatic fashion statement, this could have been worn in Boardwalk Empire at the end of 1924.
