1980's Donna Karan for Anne Klein Rich Green Velvet Dress With Gold Details

Buyer Protection Guaranteed

This dress is loaded with sex appeal. It is a perfect example of how a little reveal here and there can be very seductive...and oh so classy. Donna Karan took over as head designer at Anne Klein when Ms. Klein suddenly died in 1974. We believe this dress is from one of Ms. Karan's final lines for Anne Klein before she opened her own fashion house. It has her comfortable style written all over it from the wrapped construction to the sumptuous silk velvet fabric. The collar, cuffs and slit at the front of the skirt are green satin. The 2.5" wide velvet belt is trimmed in gold leather and there are jewelry quality gold buttons at the cuffs. The overall style is reminiscent of a man's smoking jacket but with the ultra feminine addition of a plunging decollete and thigh revealing skirt slit. Fully lined and in excellent vintage condition with light marks to the velvet on the buckle of the belt due to storage.

Marked size 8 and would also work for a size 6 with attention to the following measurements taken without belting the dress.
