About the Item
Stunning 1960's Italian Couture sheath dress from the Roman couturier Balestra. Pieces by Renato Balestra are very hard to find, especially examples of his earlier work like this dress.
This blue silk dress features an asymmetrical one-shoulder design with a sheer silk chiffon ombre dip dyed wrap attached under the armpit on one side of the dress. Back metal zip and hook closure and back slit.
The inside of the dress is stitched by hand and features a boned bodice and structured waistband.
