About the Item

1970's jersey maxi dress with a racer back style neckline and a whimsical monkey print by Donald Brooks. The dress zips up to the back waistline and ties at the top of the keyhole back. The monkey print is in a striking white and almost black graphic on a summery lime green background accented by hot pink ice cream cones. A wide sash highlights the waist and provides the dress with a finished look. A fun ensemble for warm weather seasons and a tropical locale ... dress it up or down depending on the occasion. CONDITION Good vintage condition with some flaws to the lining at the bodice including holes and a yellowish discoloration shown in photograph 13. These issues are not visible on the outside of the dress. The tie at the neckline is showing some separation as shown in photograph 14. The zipper is a little finicky but works. The stitching at the hemline has been professionally restored and the dress has been professionally cleaned and is ready for wear. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The size is not marked though the dress best fits U.S. size 4 with attention to the following measurements. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4. Bust 34" Waist 28" Full Hips 52" Length From Shoulder to Hem 57" Length From Shoulder to Waist 13" The sash measures 74" from end to end x 6" wide.
