Beautiful and rare late 70s TOWNLEY for NEIMAN MARCUS blue and white paisley flower print Avant Garde silk dress! While Townley was recognized as the manufacturer of Claire McCardell, the solo Townley label was only around for a period of time.
This rare gem features the softest, most luxurious silk jersey that I have ever felt, and is still in amazing shape! Avant Garde style, with a fitted bodice that features an overlay for a dramatic effect. Flattering full skirt. Full metal zipper up the back with ties that loop into a bow at top back zipper. Vibrant colors of blues and white. Impeccable construction, with the majority of the workmanship sewn by hand. Great belted or alone for any day or evening event. Perfect with wedges, flats or sandals for day, and heels for evening. In great condition. Made in USA
