About the Item

Velvet mini cocktail dress by Victor Costa with silver embroidery and gemstone details from the seventies. It seems to be inspired by traditional Indian dress with it luxurious embroidery details in silver. BRAND DESCRIPTION Victor Costa is known for copying the European designers of his time and translating their style to a American audience. He started out designing for Suzy Perette and launched his own namesake Victor Costa brand in 1974. His brand became a big succes, eventually landing him collaborations with Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. MATERIAL COMPOSITION There’s no material label, but the material is cotton velvet MEASUREMENTS Shoulder to shoulder: 36 CM Chest: 45 CM Waist: 35 CM Hips: 53 CM Length (measured from right of the neck to full length): 87 CM MADE IN Made in USA (union made) STATING ANY FLAWS OF THE ITEM HERE As visible on the pictures, there’s one side of the waist where the velvet seems a little shinier than on the other parts. Might have been ironed too hot or something on that spot. It’s not too obvious. The hooks at the neck closure have been resewn.
